Wellies and waterproofs were swapped this week for top hats and tails as we headed to Royal Ascot for two runners.
Dylanbaru ran a fantastic race to stay on well to be 3rd beaten 1L in the Windsor Castle Stakes. Owners David Slater and his family were on hand to welcome back their tough colt into the mighty Royal Ascot enclosure. Dyalnbaru has progressed well and following his 2nd in the Marble Hill and the 3rd in the Windsor Castle he will hopefully continue to go the right way and get back into the winners enclosure soon.
Moldowney contested the King George V Stakes on Thursday where to ground not at his best liking he stayed on well to be 6th.
Over in Leopardstown Romantic Stroll fought hard in the testing conditions to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF fillies maiden. Jockey Billy Lee, enjoying his 3rd winner in 6 days, was delighted with how she stuck her head out and battled to the line.
Tomorrow sees us back across the pond to Ayr where Celerina returns to the Land O' Burns Listed race. She was 2nd in the race last year to subsequent Group 1 winner Margot Did. She seems well and we are hoping for a big run.
